I have practiced law for over 20 years, both in-house and in private practice, in the areas of financial services, gaming, privacy law, securities regulation, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, insolvency, mergers and acquisitions, court actions and administrative proceedings.
I began as a litigator with the Los Angeles law firm, Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard & Shapiro LLP. Subsequently I moved into transactional practice performing corporate and securities work for several entities, including a household name motion picture film and casino enterprise.
Thereafter, I became the London-based General Counsel for Global Trader, a derivative financial products company (CFDs) with additional offices in Johannesburg, Toronto and Bangkok, servicing a global client base. I oversaw the sale of the business to completion in 2007 for over 35 million euros, and, more recently in July 2022, an asset acquisition for 50 million USD.
I also served as European General Counsel for R.J. O’Brien, the longest standing commodities trading firm in Chicago USA. I am presently General Counsel and GDPR Data Protection Officer for the Broadway Gaming Group, which operates a number of online bingo brands and a proprietary bingo software platform in the United Kingdom and Ireland whose offices are located in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Israel, Romania, India and Ukraine.
I remain actively involved in litigation and contentious matters representing financial services and gaming firms where I have most recently achieved a highly favourable settlement for a client in a dispute related to an M&A contract.
I am also formerly a professional musician who continues to write and record original music.
I am a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and an attorney member of the State Bars of New York and California (inactive). I am a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Law.
